The Province of Pangasinan under the stewardship of Governor Ramon Mon-Mon Guico III through the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) played host in the conduct of the National Validation of Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) 2022 on September 2 at the Capitol Resort Hotel.

Speaking on behalf of Governor Ramon V. Guico, Special Assistant to the Governor (SAG) Von Mark Mendoza said that it is with great pride to host the National Validation Team primarily to validate no less this great province which is the only province in Region I that qualified for the very important award.

“The Governor do believe that this can only be achieved through shared partnership with all our stakeholders beginning from our Department Heads down to the our employees especially those at the bottom part,” Mendoza said.

As former Mayor, Mendoza believes that the Governor is also an awardee and Binalonan was also accorded of the award.

“If I may speak in a capsule, about his performance as Local Chief Executive, we can say that Binalonan can be considered as a template of good governance, Mendoza added.

Meanwhile, the national validators led the on-site inspection, paper/document validation and interview.

The SGLG National ValidationTeam were joined by the Provincial DILG, the Provincial Government Department Heads/ Technical Staff, the National Government Agencies and some Brgy. Officials specifically Brgy. Captains.

SGLG is an award, incentive, honor and recognition-based program for all local government units to continually progress and improve their performance.
